Stop The Traffic Foundation Welcomes Marlon A. Medina as Board Member & Head of Public Relations
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Marlon A. Medina Appointed Board Member & Head of Public Relations at Stop The Traffic Foundation
Las Vegas, NV – September 24, 2025 – The Stop The Traffic Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Marlon A. Medina as its newest Board Member and Head of Public Relations. Medina, a Las Vegas–based entrepreneur, media strategist, and community leader, will play a key role in amplifying the Foundation’s mission to expose and combat child trafficking, one of the city’s most urgent crises.
Las Vegas ranks among the highest cities for sex trafficking in the United States, with over 5,000 individuals trafficked each month. The Stop The Traffic Foundation exists to break this cycle through awareness campaigns, community partnerships, and systems-level solutions such as:
Lift the Veil (LTV) Program – Advocating for X-ray scanner legislation to help identify hidden victims during AMBER Alerts and checkpoints.
Safe Haven Network – Relaunching Clark County’s Safe Place program to train local businesses as emergency access points for children in crisis.
AI Hotline Access – Developing kid-friendly hotline numbers, supported by AI routing, that connect directly to the national trafficking hotline.
Free Media for Allies – Providing donor-funded ad production for under-resourced anti-trafficking nonprofits.
Medina brings not only professional expertise but also a deeply personal commitment to this cause. Having had family members suffer at the hands of predators, he understands firsthand the urgency of the Foundation’s work. In 2020, Medina lent his production skills to support Operation Underground Railroad, helping raise awareness through event coverage dedicated to ending human trafficking.
“I feel an immense responsibility to use my platform and skills to shine a light on this issue,” Medina said. “Child trafficking thrives in silence, and I want to be part of the solution that brings both awareness and tangible change. Stop The Traffic is proving that storytelling, innovation, and advocacy can save lives, and I’m honored to help scale this movement.”
The Stop The Traffic Foundation has already built significant momentum, with its award-winning film Vegas Traffic screened at City Hall, film festivals, and community events alongside support from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Nevada’s Lieutenant Governor, City Council members, and more than 20 partner states. With Medina’s leadership in public relations, the Foundation aims to expand its reach nationally, equipping communities with the tools to educate, prevent, and protect.
